An intro to remailers

There are times when we would like to make our opinions known without giving out information on who we are. To do this we use the wonderful anonymous remailers. These are programs that strip our identity off of the email we send and pass it on as anonymous. There are proper and improper ways of using them.

* First of all DO NOT try to use a remailer to send out illegal material.

* Don't use them to send death threats or equally moronic material. (some of the remailers will turn you over to the authorities if it creates a problem).

* Abide by the rules of common decency, don't abuse the remailers or they won't be around.

Since the remailers are machines they're not real bright, you must format you're mail in a particular manner or it won't get to its destination. Most of the remailers use a fairly standard way of doing this. In the beginning of your email put this in - Anon-To:

Anon-To: [email protected]

Hey Joe, guess who this is?

If your mail program adds a signature file you will want to get rid of it by adding - Cutmarks: --

Anon-To: [email protected]
Cutmarks:--

Hey Jeff, you'll never guess who I am you jerk. I lost my sig file.

There are a slew of other options available, just go to your favorite search engine and type in REMAILERS.

To get you started using the remailer: [email protected] Your email would look like this:
